Kendeda Living Building Lunch & Learn and Site Tour
June 8 at Georgia Tech
How do you maximize sustainability when developing complex labs and GMP manufacturing facilities?
Join us on June 8th at Georgia Tech as 35 North presents a behind-the-scenes look at the design and construction of the 47,000-SF Kendeda Building for Innovative Sustainable Design with an informational session led by Jimmy Mitchell from Skanska.
At Georgia’s first living building, attendees will hear about the areas that most easily apply to life sciences capital projects – such as energy, water, materials, and employee health and happiness. Information will highlight the solutions developed to efficiently overcome challenges for this unique project.
You can call it ultimate sustainability. The Kendeda Building at Georgia Tech is the world’s 28th living building to earn Living Building Challenge (LBC) certification – the world’s most ambitious and holistic green building achievement. The building is net-positive energy and water over the course of each year.
Prior to a walking tour, guests will enjoy a sustainably catered lunch during the lunch-and-learn.
