Education Committee
The Education Committee comprises individuals from a broad range across the life science industry segments. The Committee’s mission is to share industry knowledge, standards, and best practices with our members.
We offer educational topics that relate to one of the seven technical knowledge elements for the Certified Pharmaceutical Industry Professional (CPIP) Credential, which include:
- Product Development
- Facilities and Equipment
- Information Systems
- Supply Chain Management
- Production Systems
- Regulatory Compliance (which encompasses drugs, environmental, and health and safety issues)
- Quality Systems.
Our topics have traditionally been focused on pharmaceutical manufacturers, but with our industry’s ever-changing landscape, we continue to evaluate topics and vendors that support these organizations. Many third-party vendors bring resources, technology, and different ways of working that are critical to the pharmaceutical industry’s success.
The hosts, presenters, or panel members are subject matter experts (SMEs)who bring a wealth of knowledge. These professionals are open to questions during or after our events. All events are also coupled with a networking reception to allow attendees to connect and expand their professional contacts.
The Committee also schedules local plant tours for our members, which includes the logistics of planning these tours and determining which plants would interest our members. In the past, we have toured Eisai, Grifols, Biogen, Novo Nordisk, and several other manufacturing sites in our area.
Above all, this Committee is dedicated to providing valuable educational content to our members. We are always interested in connecting with potential volunteers who want to contribute to this Committee.
